WATCH the video → the Frankel fire @ Vinery Stakes 2021 winner (2000m) 2017 ch.filly  Hungry Heart (AUS)

& winner of Phar Lap Stakes 3yo (G2) & Sweet Embrace Stakes 2yo (G2)

Hungry Heart Horse Pedigree (pedigreequery.com) female family 9c distaff to Mumtaz Begum (FR) & her daughter, a 1/2 sister to Nasrullah

Our last article advanced blue-hens – concealed and forgotten. And amongst those individuals is Marchetta (GB) 1907, of the female family 1-W

Owned and bred by Lord Derby, Marchetta sired by Marco & of ancestry, the West Australian line. Her sublime ancestral breeding has 3×3 Hermit.

– Marco (Barcaldine) sire of Beppo (a leading sire), Neil Gow, sire of Jean Gow, Omar Khayam first import to win Kentucky Derby, Marcovil sire of Hurry On, Sir Marco & Springlawn sent to South Africa 1911.

Marchetta bred 13 foals of which 9 were winners. Amongst those progeny – Sweet Lavender to her daughters, Kalmia & Lavendula and referenced below, the daughter Rose Red (GB)

It’s not fully fathomable how powerful these together, largely impact the superior racing thoroughbred. Since, of course, the famously Blue-hen daughters Source Sucree produced Turn-To & Perfume produced My Babu.

–  in dark quarters.. Rose Red (GB) from, Marchetta female distaff to Bustino (GB) – grand-dam sire of Pivotal and he, the broodmare sire of Hungry Heart. Further note here… Hungry Heart’s 5th dam distaff by sire, Hail to Reason/Turn-To/ Marchetta

– the Marchetta daughter Rose Red (GB) also appears to sire of sires, Galileo via, dam **Urban Sea/Allegretta/Anatevka through Anatevka’s grand-sire Acropolis (GB).

**Rose Red has 3x’s to Hermit.

Acropolis was a Champion 3yo colt in England and his dam Aurora, the grand-daughter of Marchetta also produced full brother Alycidon (GB) and half-brother Borealis (GB)

*

TBL never covered an article to Frankel. He however (to my estimation) is strongly influenced by Blandford  – note, his dam Kind has 5th dam Nasira by Persian Gulf/Bahram/Blandford.

Frankel pedigree

– Stage Door Johnny, 2nd dam by Caldarium (FR) → Brantome/Blandford

– Rainbow Quest (USA) , 4th dam by His Grace (GB) by Blandford

– Blushing Groom (FR) – 3rd dam by Umidwar by Blandford

– Blushing Groom – broodmare sire Wild Risk (FR) from Wild Violet by Blandford

– Nasrullah – from Mumtaz Begum by Blenheim by Blandford

– Espresso (GB) – his dam Babylon by Bahram by Blandford ++ Acropolis,                                                                                         Donnatello / Blenheim / Blandford

Hungry Heart’s female distaff (as noted) the female family 9c Mumtaz Begum by Blenheim by Blandford. Her daughter is Bibibeg (IRE) by Bahram by Blandford.

This supreme approach heads back on dominant DNA  clusters & has one of the most critical-mass purposed, to superior thoroughbred and racehorse breeding.

*

Of Frankel progeny: compare Cracksman (broodmare sire Pivotal) – female family 9c distaff Mumtaz Begum by Blenheim by Blandford.

– *Lorenzaccio (GB) by Klairon from Marchetta’s distaff – Lorenzaccio’s 2nd dam by Big Game by Bahram by Blandford

Without Parole (GB) (Frankel – Without You by Lemon Drop Kid) Lemon Drop Kid female family 3-l the Gay Missile/Missy Baba distaff as clustered on Marchetta f.f.1W via Turn-To & My Babu.

Anapurna (Frankel – Dash to the Top) 2nd dam sire Nashwan → 3rd dam sire Borealis (GB) + Bustino 2x Rose Red/ Marchetta    ++ Blushing Groom (Fr) per Blandford as above

Call the Wind (GB) (Frankel – In Clover by Inchinor ) Inchinor/Anhonorra/*Lorenzaccio. In Clover , 3rd dam Bellarida inbred 3×3 Le Fabuleux (Fr) by Wild risk from Wild Violet by Blandford

Logician (GB) – (Frankel – Scuffle) 3rd dam sire Nashwan by Blushing Groom (Blandford) + b/m sire Bustino (Rose Red/Marchetta). Scuffles 5th dam sire, Sir Ivor/Sir Gaylord/Turn-To ie Marchetta.

Dream Castle (GB) – (Frankel – Sand Vixen by Dubawi) 3rd dam sire, Free State (IRE) 3x Blandford by a sire of Rose Red/Marchetta distaff → Hotfoot Hotfoot Horse Pedigree (pedigreequery.com)

*

THE PATTERN … Enable (Nathaniel – Concentric) the very discreet Rose Red (GB)/Marchetta as infused in her 3rd dam by Ile de Bourbon (Nijinsky) via, the grand-dam sire Fastnet Rock (FR) dam distaff f.f. 1-W ⇔ Rosetta/Rose Red/Marchetta.

– Meet Rose Red again, via Galileo (prior discussed above ) → **Urban Sea/Allegretta/Anatevka . Enable 3×2 Sadlers Wells – but also remember the female family 5h back to Rough Shod is sired by Blandford.

here’s a toast to …Rose Red (GB)

Bernardini (USA), Birkhahn, Frizette, Hold Your Peace, Kukulkan, Kukulkan (Mexico), Kukulkan pedigree, Mr Prospector, Nasrullah, Point Determined (USA), Princequillo, Seattle Slew, The Real Mayo (USA), Turn-To (IRE)

Kukulkan – the Mesoamerican serpent deity, its name, has God. Prior to the Spanish conquistador invasion, the Yucatech-mayan culture worshipped the Kukulkan. It translates as fiery serpent.

Its a powerful name for a colt. It is compelling for a racehorse.  Kukulkan (Mexico) has 14 wins from 14 starts. His achievements to date: champion 2 year old colt in Mexico and a Triple Crown Winner at 3 (Mexico). He is sired by, Point Determined (USA) from The Real Mayo (USA) ex- Bernardini (USA).

When a jockey says: “he can do anything…. he wins off the pace, close to the pace & wins on the lead” – the genotype pedigree urges TBL scrutiny.

Sire and dam are American bred. Even so, bloodlines are essentially global appraised. Irrespective where you are by country, it is to realize every superior thoroughbred has superior genotype configuration that must indicate the truest, finest breeding.

Forward-quality breeding, it is always highly important to note burgeoning of new/old:old/new strains as ‘traits’ re-emerge, more so the persistent traits which endure.

The Kukuklan pedigree surely has the classic ‘markers’ in abundance.

The ‘markers’ are superior best key-strains which always appear to superior breeding  world wide.

Pedigrees are collective, not only an in-breeding pool. They are supported with compelling prepotent influences known for top-class speed and acceleration. It is a superior genus-type – the supreme benchmark.

As Winston Churchill said ” The further you stand back, the further you shall see”.

Pushing well back into a pedigree, finds the bred evolutionary infusion.

Those bottom maternal tap-root(s) infuse and mature – rather than to emphasis tap-root as one dynamic.

At maternal infusion from the early German bred, through breeding gargantuan –   Neckar (GER), sire, his Ticino (GER) and Birkhahn (GER). birkhahn n.b. Birkhahn  strain held to Galileo Thrust, goes the Galileo engine

The Seattle Slew inbreeding 5Sx4Dx5D to that of Mr Prospector 5Sx6D being that that come from same maternal, namely Myrtlewood/Frizette (USA) – as the american born, female family 13C.

Accessing those Frizette traits/strains, make for a very compact homozygous pedigree.

Additionally of Seattle Slew is the great-grand daddy sire – Bold Ruler, to that of his sire Nasrullah. Say, no more!

Hold Your Peace (USA)- (3rd dams maternal sire) praise, praise, praise…these constitutional strains complete, which the bloodstock ‘world’ should always be lusting after.

That familiar dosage what appears in the Winx (AUS) maternal pedigree – see, Hold Your Peace’s/Success Express (USA) to sire-son, Al Akbar. This is a major, major undeniable prepotent line. *(…the small, tough, gritty qualities and equable temperament which exemplify the Prince Rose Line, through his three great stallion sons Princequillo, Prince Chevalier and Prince Bio have united perfectly in the post-war era with the compositon of the Nearco/Nasrullah/Royal Charger breed.* – Ross du Bourg – Australian bloodstock analyst

Winx – workin’ them genes

To Al Akbar’s grand maternal sire Silly Season (USA); & as infused to Kukulkan’s 4th dam sire as same.

Opinion….the nick or sweet-spot to this pedigree shines on the sire’s (Point Determined (USA) 3rd dam sire Broad Brush (USA)/Ack Ack (USA) particularly the cohesion of strains Turn-To (IRE) Royal Charger to that of Princequillo/Prince Rose (as Ross du Bourg quotes above) ‘crossed’ to the Hold Your Peace (USA).

The Kukulkan pedigree has excitement: take respect to all future pedigrees where  Seattle Slew blood is reinforced.

The keys are: enduring dosages and deeper reinforcement to the quiet eternal rivers of Princequillo and Royal Charger/Nasrullah.

Humidor (NZ), the supremacy of genetics

Danzig, Galileo, Humidor, Sir Gaylord, Teofilo (IRE), Turn-To (IRE), Zabeel, Zalika

Photo: 2016 @ Ellerslie Racecourse (NZ) – a little nostalgia of what can be

Humidor was rather ‘gangly’ awkward, yet to grow/develop to a bold and sensational individual. His name is Humidor (NZ) by Teofilo (IRE) from Zalika (NZ) by (Zabeel) – a 6 yr old bay gelding trained by Darren Weir racing, former NZ trainers Hollie Wynward/Johno Benner. Bred by Jomara Bloodstock Ltd, New Zealand.

how could of we known …..

Magnificent. Sensational.

The clues to Humidor hails from the familiar, classic female breeding family 9c. Many may recognize it as the Klairessa/Courtessa (GB) family.

Connect a number of familial genetic lineages thru ff 9C: Nasrullah – Royal Charger – Mahmoud – Fair Trial – and you may begin to get, the Mumtaz Begum (FR), Mumtaz Mahal (GB) genus gas running through Humidor’s veins.

Of late we’re banging our heads on a ‘hunch’, great breeding is a road leading to the genus at origin. Yep, there is much to go in between but breeding roots are essentially the patterns.

View if you will, the pedigree sun-wheel v. the linear graphic form we work with today.

cropped-011.jpg

If relationships where to close/overlap, we should more so, see the lay of genetic structure intertwining. This is the point. The strength.

evolution

Female family tables are an exceptional tool. Like a tradesman knowing how to use old tools which won’t let him down: let the art take place. The female families are an arrangement intricacy depending how deep one wishes to view. The devil-is-In-the-detail…..and the disguise and the pattern will survive.

https://www.pedigreequery.com/humidor6

As the genetic jungle appears wide & complex we look for structural denominators.

As above mentioned – the genotype framework ‘works’ Mumtaz Begum/Mumtaz Mahal/ Lady Josephine (n.b. sired by Sunridge with True Colours

We again have the almighty ff-5h factors: Sadlers Wells – Nureyev – Val De Loir (FR). Knit, knit & knit these relationships!

from a previous blog Thrust, goes the Galileo engine ……exceptional ‘dam’ strain (5-h), the most potent proliferating thoroughbred strains in existence where it is also to gauge their genetic prowess on the constant evolutionary move of the thoroughbred.
Now…welcome (if following other pedigrees) Lorenzaccio (GB) , Nureyev, Val-de-Loir or, other generation individuals of Special and the 5h, frame-work becomes more so obvious.
Simply they all follow the ancestress Simon Shoes (GB). Yes, the female family 5h stages globally Derby winning families.

We have in-breeding Danzig, (as sire to Danehill & Green Desert) which recruits a finer dynamic & better for it, than rather, full Danehill in-breeding to the ff 2d.

Danzig (dam Pas de Nom (USA) has the ff 7a family to ancestress Mowerina.

Plus, plus Teofilo’s sire Galileo, to 3rd dam sire has Expresso (GB) , the ff 7a.

Finally, but not at all least – we advocate to search AT the maternal foundation roots to gauge the maternal building its infusions.

The 4th dam sire, Klairon (FR) infusion, has ff 1-w (ex- Sweet Lavender (GB)/Lavendula). Refer Sir Gaylord/Turn To (7sx6Dx7Dx6D) ex- Sweet Lavender (GB) ff 1-w.

Witness a pre eminent ancestry as a compression of same, where they ‘tread’ softly through their descendants.

The genotype ‘map’ is akin to fractal in nature, a complex simple of generations re building.

Humidor genetic strengths by the female families ff 9C, 5-h, 7a, 1-w.

cheers
