Industry people…. how do you recognise a perfect pedigree?

– 2 Keeneland’s yearling sale & spot the boy, $2.2 million Godolphin purchased yearling colt – American Pharoah/ Kindle by Indian Charlie.

 The genotype maps phenotype faultless.

– yep, the perfection.

We say it over and over again, its about maternal families sitting upon those genotype dynamics – pinpoint where pedigrees will distinctively fuse.

Female families are pattern-collectives; they hold appreciation to the greater pedigree template & as to what actually hits the ‘mark’.

The article went short on other genetic contributors but nevertheless here, the A.P colt blends key parentage through maternal lines with ‘exactness’.

Take note…..Olympia (USA) 7sx7sx8sx7Dx9d thru Little Blessing (USA), Tri-Jet(USA), 2xCrozier (USA), Greek Game (USA), Crème Dela Crème (USA). (yes, these key genetic role-players DO NOT APPEAR on a regular catalogue print out…you need to get into detail & depths of pedigree.)

Next: Pioneer of the Nile (AP’s sire), the maternal line ff-21a, where his sire Empire Maker grand dam’s sire, In Reality (USA) has ff-21a to Indian Charlie (USA), ff-21a, the sire of dam Kindle …..ALL from ancestress ‘Lonely’ (GB). This detailed information needs to be viewed @ 5th remove. Notice the in-breeding Olympia (USA) through AP’s dam, Littleprincessemma (USA) to colt’s dams sire – Indian Charlie.

++++plus….. Pioneer of the Nile 4th dam sire (ff 21-a) sire Olympia (USA).

Collectively complete, that’s how it works.

All to American Pharaoh’s greatest racing performances, are not required to be retold.

– However, it is of the curious genotype (breeding) which are in essence, familial concentrations and to these sublime depths. Where… just the pattern influence goes/comes through.(n.b. it is not disregarding any other important pro-genitors but for purpose to demonstrate the exercise to matrilineal breeding. In this case, the modest broodmare Miss Dolphin is interestingly, she an ancestress daughter of the not so common progenitor Wild Dayrell (1852) 

Fold out the AP pedigree – ⇒Olympia (by sire Heliopolis & grand-son of Hyperion) from Miss Dolphin (ff strain 4-p). Highlight at 7th G: matri-line penetration where breeding generations, cycle forward the individual.

He, the Son of the dam – Olympia appears in 4 lines – 6sx6dx7dx7D , & importantly note where they are exactly placed TO the pedigree ie. threaded generative-matrilineal. These, specifically to AP….. strong fusion working through each bottom matri-line, from sire and dam.

Olympia (Fred Hooper bred) was speedy and robust. Something of nature’s wonders, this champ forwarded his genetics well. Olympia can be noted to Danehill, Dynaformer, Unbridled’s Song, Smart Strike and of course Pioneer of the Nile, American Pharoah’s sire.

Dominant strains for dominant genes.

….people weren’t going to go crazy about something (Pioneer of the Nile) that was unproven. As it turned out, he ended up not hitting his reserve, not because people didn’t love him, but because Mr. Zayat fell in love with him more than everybody else did.
