Reflect, it is Vain’s grand sire the great Court Martial (f.f. 1-P), and to Vain’s phenomenal sire, the French-bred Sire Wilkes, his French half-brother Worden. (n.b. Street Cry’s 4th dam sire Worden, from Sans Taras.
*Wilkes – ( Court Martial – Sans Tares, by the Solario horse Sind from Tara, by Teddy) raced only three times in his life at 3 years in France in 1955. He scored two wins, over 1500 metres and 2000 metres. A maternal half-brother to two winners of the Washington DC International turf classic in Worden II and Mahan. Wilkes was a immediate sensation producing the champion mare Wenona Girl.
