7a HAPLOTYPEL3a1aMRCA – ancestress Pyrrha (GB 1771),>> 5sx5d Eljazzi (IRE), Danzig, Bletchingly (Aus)
Eljazzi – the development of her distaff + Rockfel (GB) dam of Rockefella, as based on Haplotype. Her daughter Rafha elite dam of Invincible Spirit (Kris) & Kodiac (Danehill). Rockefella 8x8x8

The pedigree indicates linebreeding @ 19x Hyperion, noted direct to Eljazzi + 5×4 Nureyev thence dam Special 6 x8x5 @Sadlers Wells sighted to 4th dam sire, I Am Immortal (Aus).

Genetic nuts in bolts phenotypes: Gyr (USA) by Sea Bird (FR) – Feria (ITY) ala Sea Bird’s strain to Suckle: variant Hyperion source Selene, Biribi (Fr) (think Lyphard), & dam’s Papyrus dam line influence back on Mcgaw’s broodmare sire Librettist (USA). Gyr was 2nd in the Epsom Derby to Nijinsky and his sire Sea Bird (FR), the 1965 English/French Horse of Year & 1965 English/French champion 3yo male

  • comprehend 7sx8s Star Kingdom, 7Dx7D Ribot, 9x Princequillo + Gyr are PAPYRUS DAUGHTERS!! (n.b. just what Ken McLean was always saying….)
  • Papyrus 20x dam Guiccioli (dam of Birdcatcher). Her racing feat, not well acknowledged in modern day records. However old references have: 2 – 6 years termed a very good racer. Ran as a 6 year old after foaling (1st foal) and again in foal running six times, winning twice in King’s Plates over 4 mile heats. Ran over the Curragh and Northumberland Handicap. 13 Foals. # 4x Harkaway, the Irish Eclipse legend & # 20x Sultan sire of Glencoe et al.

Mcgaw, is much a clever genotype and more could be discussed with further notes to Byerley Turk type (My Babu/Djebel) however time today is short.

The short n’ simple is recognizing 🏆Eljazzi (IRE).

my bloke’s been ticking over really good

2yo King of Pop colt over 1200m new track record @ 1.09.13

On Pedigree https://www.pedigreequery.com/king+of+pop11 , the dominant profile places (once again) elite dam 4x6x5 Easy Date – her details are covered to post a blue hen pings G2 winner, Leica Lucy (NZ), **Easy Date 5x5x5.

King of Pop’s grand-dam Weiner is Snitzel’s 1/2 sister. Also the family of Hinchinbrook (Fastnet Rock – Snippet’s Lass by Snippet)

A prior research @ Farnan post (September 2020) far out speed…Farnan (AUS), 1/2 brother in sire Sandbar (Snitzel), the sire of 2yo, Pierro Plate winner 1100m, gets the gelding Shaggy. Those two sires focus their dam family: to arrive head in genetics – Lion Hunter (Aus) thru Godswalk thru Intentionally (USA) taking affinity to Snitzel via 3rd dam sire-line In Reality (3×3 War Relic, 3x Fair Play) by Intentionally.

King of Pop broodmare sire All Too Hard circles the f.f. 1-P assigned family probability 2 Haplotype ‘family. In a hypothetical schedule, Court Martial, sire of Wilkes, thence Rory Jester, CM grand-sire of 2xVain – 4th dam sire of Lion Hunter, Claude’s (ITY) sire Hornbeam (4th dam sire of African Queen, Troy in Street Cry) and likely, the sire nick-cross in Farnan/All Too Hard.

credit Link

King of Pop’s female family 2-c, suggests Haplotype L4 – generally designated upon families 2.

The quality of any pedigree is keying to what set the Type across. Complex. In regards to last article, the re-visitation of classic chef Teddy is transformative refining and goes a long road breeding still dynamite.

4x https://www.pedigreequery.com/sans+tares

In 1940, Sans Tares was sent to the U.S. by breeder to avoid appropriation by German Army during the II World War (from The Thoroughbred Record Jun 15 1940).RRE
sent to France in 1947.
Died in 1965.
Dam of 5 SW, including Washington DC International S. winner Worden and Wilkes winner of the Prix Edgard de la Charme and Champion Australian Sire 3 times

To Notes (available) on Breeding in France post WWII, reveals that French breeding had to live on its own resources, utilize to the utmost with their notable successes to native blood lines. For example, in 1945, one third of the prizes distributed in races was won by the descendants of 🏆Teddy, Bruleur, Alcantara II & Massine.

understand…

To re-examine ‘Teddy’ daughters, his fine recognizable influence is very, very relevant. 4×4 Teddy = Buckpasser, in Danehill. Dancing Show (Bull Lea/Mr Busher) – Teddy daughter Tara, grand-dam Wilkes Crown Jester – Hitting Away > Easy Date, Mr Prospector, Troy/Helen Street > Worden (Fr), Godswalk (USA), Wilkes/Vain, 3rd dam to Casino Prince , Garden Green (IRE) 5×5 Teddy, Helsinge, More Than Ready > Good Landing 4×5 Teddy, + Woodman (Mr Prospector) and King of Pop’s distaff Snippet’s Lass, is to a Teddy daughter Britannica (FR), exported to USA.

Why? Its since the genetic clean up @ Bend Or records (correction Tadcaster) @Teddy – the prototype individual is a Martha Lynn type. Martha Lynn is He…Teddy provides Haplotype L4.

Pedigree is designing... science informs protein-allele synthesis & the racing model suitably depicted. Yet fundamentals ‘if’ an overly rapid expansion in production of 1 trait is to the expense of other traits, it ultimately proves itself detrimental to other.

Breeding how’s are – He, brings himself back across his daughters. Teddy.

In Ken McLean’s words: in every instance their pedigrees reveal a heavy build-up of similarly related ancestors connecting up with each other.

Teddy. (caste aside by British breeding, his potency upgraded US breeding to a supreme level. ARTICLE

King of Pop was an $800,000 buy for his trainers from North Bloodstock’s Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling draft in 2024. https://catalogue.magicmillions.com.au/lot/24GPR/377

*Easy date 5x5x5 – her 5th dam Tedmelia by Teddy. Dam of Lights Up (USA)

4 yo bay gelding, Nadal – Xtravagant (NZ) – Moshki (AUS) by Moshe (AUS). https://www.pedigreequery.com/nadal18

Broodmare sire Moshe- the half brother of sire All Too Hard (Casino Prince) & Black Caviar

"Nadal from a mile back!"

Nadal shocks the field with a storming finish to take out the inaugural The Meteorite ☄️@cmaherracing @Ethan_Brown8 pic.twitter.com/gs8noEDzVG

— Racing.com (@Racing) November 23, 2024

Currently, I am re-reading Ken McLean – Quest for a Classic Winner. It is a gem of book in breeding stock technique. Ken’s analysis takes a very thorough discourse, deepest of lines and all still on-point today.

Nadal by Xtravagant has quite the thinking of Ken McLean!

Australasian pedigrees continue to drive and maintain consistent durability. Strains in a product continue to captivate as went developed from the stud stallion. It is clear a balanced diversity progresses, wave-cycles in generations through their mares yet for the situation of short numbers continuing.

🐴 Nadal places 4×5 Sir Tristram. Its interesting to note that doyens, Harold Hampton/Clive Harper placed the Sir Tristram ‘Type’ in multiple lines to Hermit. https://www.tbheritage.com/Portraits/Hermit.html. Having not exercised that very interesting remark- we note the Hermit son Tristan had fiery temperament – as did Sir Tristram. Tristan influences >> Sywnford (Nearctic) >> Donatello & Big Game by Bahram.

As it was stated by himself, Sir Patrick Hogan (Cambridge Stud New Zealand) double-checked every strain (its class) concluding that Sir Tristram was a sire who would improve bloodlines (see thoroughbred Breeding: A MASTER OF TIME

It was Game, Set, Match for NADAL in the $1m Meteorite @SthsideRacing on Saturday when he produced an explosive turn of foot to secure the win for connections.

Trainer @cmaherracing purchased Nadal for $250k from #InglisPremier, where he was offered by his breeders… pic.twitter.com/GmK11EmxXx

Nadal’s sire Xtravagant https://www.newhavenpark.com.au/stallions/xtravagant/ a distaff family in ancestress Charm, her grand-dam is Enigma (GB) also found to Beppo’s dam Pitti broodmare sire of Gay Crusader, broodmare sire of in 6x Djebel to Nadal’s pedigree. Whilst we never know authenticity of Stud book origins, it is to expose Charm/Enigma and retain the strong influence within today’s pool of enigmatic lines.

Charm finds herself to Blakeney 7Dx9d, she the dam of Captivation to male line Chanteur (FR) and daughter Fascination, **Stefan the Great’s grand-dam (more below)

The major historical significance to her Tree family @ William the Third (St Simon) & Stefan the Great (The Tetrarch). At writing at the time, it wasn’t fully realized their emphatic influence to world-class mares, Black Caviar and Winx. We found stallion statistics when William the Third made his first appearance as making the top 20 in 1918 as a brood mare sire. He certainly features where noting sire of Dutch Mary appearing to 4x Donatello >> 4th dam sire (@ Nadal), Mironton (GB), influences El Quahira (NZ), Solderini/Desert Sun, mare Bespoken (by Vain) & dam of Bel Esprit. Donatatello sire of 9×9 Crepollo and has additional influence with Bahram to son 3x Big Game

note, William the Third influences to Discovery by Display @ Native Dancer + 2x Felstead (Spion Kop)

In 1920, William the Third is 2nd top ranked stallion (Gallinule no.1) – 1922 he occupies no. 1 spot and remains to the top 10 ranked stallions till 1932, top 20 1933! That is quite a statistical profile amongst Chaucer, Sunstar, Polymelus and more…

1939 **Stefan the Great occupies no.1. (n.b. Hermit was running no.1 European sire 1880 – 1886). Stefan the Great b/m sire of Blue Peter (GB) sire of Sabaean to daughter Sun Priestess (NZ), 4th dam of Xtravagant, family 2-e.

It may then be exercised – what influences will contribute to a specific phenotype.

With a little (off course) preamble… consider upon breeding pools, the impacts of WWII. Its insurmountable breeding upheaval(s) took place effectively upon population growth & progressed dissipation & extinction. Its the hard, ugly fact that acts of War(s) exercised active expulsion to european Studbooks where it also had occured much earlier to america’s earliest family bloodstock. These are not just missing pools, but a phenotype left wandering in obscurity.

The examination of a certain and superior Type remains…

Observing sale footage above, its quite observable to a quality phenotype in Nadal.

@ 1200m – He run’s a slashing time.

"The gap presented and off he went."

It was a sensational ride from Ethan Brown to lead Nadal to a storming finish in The Meteorite 💪@Ethan_Brown8 pic.twitter.com/83T2pIuStT

— Racing.com (@Racing) November 23, 2024

The exquisite intricate Nadal pedigree weaves multiple X’s complex.

6x5x6 world class sprinter Vain – Wilkes (his female line the elite-exceptional Tara, inclusive Norseman ex-Zabeel) – 4x Court Martial – 7x Fair Trial

@ Byerley Turk – Blakeney – Centaine – 3x My Babu- 6x Djebel + Cagire (FR) by Tourbillon > @ Zeditatve (Aus) + Finglas by Brueleur b/m sire Vieux Manoir sire of Val de Loire (FR), sire of Valdena, 2nd dam Lady Giselle dam of Zabeel.

@ The Tetrarch The Tetrarch sire of Mumtaz Mahal >> 12x Nasrullah, The Tetrarch sire of 2x Tetratema, grand sire of 3x King Salmon , Kurdistan (Tehran) ++ Pherozshah (FR) 3rd dam sire El Quahira from dam, Pheroz Jewel has 3x The Tetrarch.

Super Elite influences –

@ ^Princequillo & his b/m sire @ Papyrus thru to Sir Tristram. Do note Todman (Star Kingdom) @ Papyrus (see Ken McLean’s quote below)

Vatout – the dam Vaya by Beppo.

@Pentire @ 4th dam sire Grandmaster (IRE) to Vatout + @ Zabeel / Vatout sire of Vatellour 5th dam sire, Lady Giselle. Migoli by Boris Roussel (FR) by Vatout (FR) – 3rd dam sire Desert Sun.

& goes another funny quirk is that Nadal’s female ancestor Fine Lady (Aus) is by Darebin (AUS) and so take a look at his daughter as the broodmare sire in finest bred US sire, so named Commando (USA). He is male line descending to Stymie’s daughter @ 4×7 What a Treat to Be My Guest, grand-sire of Xtravagant & distaff influence in Esperanto (USA).

I (Ken McLean) always admired ^Princequillo (Prince Rose-Cosquilloa by Papyrus, son of Tracery) as the most fundamental genotype for upgrading a female line. Princequillo was a genetic phenoenon and ideally correct in conformation. (I) cannot understand why the Star Kingdom strain has not been used by American breeders to cross with the Princequillo strain, nor why the British and French are slow in realising the existing potential between Star Kingdom’s genotype with that of Prince Chevalier. Credit reference Quest for a Winner/ Ken McLean

Stallions who carry more than one strain of Papyrus should have long-term influence on the breed. (Ken McLean). So right Ken!!
