2024 G1 winner Coolmore Classic (Australia) – a 3yo filly by Zoustar (AUS) from Fast Talker (Fastnet Rock)

Pedigree HERE

As Thoroughbreds are to racing and breeding Industry, Australasian genetics come tough, resilient. The successful lines as former crossed in from either home-bred or ‘selective’ sires upgrading, the appealing lines are a diverse option and should continue any international pedigree.

Our subject pedigree by Zoustar, the filly Zougotcha (if sold) just may be the next high-value mare as was the Zoustar bred Sunlight when sold to Coolmore Australia for $4.2 mill.

Zougotcha has💥💥💥Vain/Wilkes (7x6x7) /Court Martial by Fair Trial

“The pedigrees are at Easter.”

.@mulcasterBS reflects on the purchase of a Zoustar x Fast Talker filly at 2021 #InglisEaster.

ZOUGOTCHA has been an exciting filly for connections, winning 4 Stakes races including the G1 Flight Stakes.#WhereWillYouBe@cwallerracing @widdenstud pic.twitter.com/TQnTeYrEAA

Remembering French bred Wilkes, a Champion Australian Sire 3 times and Champion Sire of 2YO 4 times. He was bought as a ‘punt’ in good-ocker style. The wonderful Wilkes when imported was decisive to the future of Australian breeding. (Link)

Wilkes dam Sans Taren was saved from the spoils of WWII and sent as a juvenile to the USA and later returned to France. She is producer of Wilkes and half brother Worden and her daughter La Rochelle, is 2nd dam of Le Fabuleux, broodmare sire of Unbridled (USA).

Her dam Tara, the dam of Norseman (FR by Umidwar) is marked @ 4×4 Orm (3xOrmonde). Orm’s dam Angelica is the daughter of St Angela dam of St Simon. TBL has identified Angelica/St Angela for the few lines available outside of St Simon shall link the possibility of incredible unimaginable potency.

👇👇👇

**(For example, Sir Cosmo – broodmare sire of Knights Daughter demonstrates Haplotypes @ St Angela upon family 11-c come assigned#I2a1. This Haplotype sister to Regulus, a #Godolphin Arabian sire-son to broodmare sire by Bald Galloway). https://www.pedigreequery.com/monarchy

San Tares: credit SportsHorsedData

Her sire Teddy, from b/m sire Neil Gow by Marco (#Godolphin Arabian) curves the pedigree to another dimension.

Wilkes – the sire of 4th daughter to sire Zoustar distaff. Zoustar’s family belonging to f.f. 8-k and having prior posted its particular distaff to that of a Harkaway daughter Austrey . How superiorly unique and elite could it be? Re-casting the Irish Eclipse Harkway to the Herod, Eclipse pedigree inherit spectrum is the long-held vitality, family 2 assigned, #Haplotype L4 from a Nabocklish mare taking up 4x Herod strains.

Rise n’ fall of lines is more over observing to utilizing an individual – sire/dam merits, to have its traits re-emerge to the current individual. The distinguishment of Wilkes, his dam Sans Taren takes 💥star-quality to filly Zougotcha.

Through such perspective, we’ve targeted Papyrus. Isolating Papyrus influences to Zoustar 7×5 Star Kingdom +S.K. thru Mauruding + 2nd dam Ribot (influences Danehill) Better Honey/Honeyway (influences Fastnet Rock) + Round Table’s sire Princequillo > Princequillo daughter, the 3rd dam of Fappiano. Once again the Papyrus female distaff runs to a Harkaway daughter as 6th dam. Papyrus has 4×3 St Simon hence b/m sire King Tom by Harkaway. Further a Marcovil (#GA) daughter Miss Matty and sire Tracery, where b/m sire Orme takes a Angelica/St Angela strain – a potency as indicated above.

Papyrus was owned by an English tenant farmer Ben Irish. Lord Derby’s horse was tagged on the heels of the farmer’s horse as the two flashed down to the end of the race, thwarting Lord Derby’s fondest desire of winning the classic race. (June 7 1923)

Targeting, @Byerley Turk #BT rather than numerous duplications alone but pointedly calculating its blood. Century & dam line Snippets, Twig-Moss. The et al individuals as ‘group(s)’ belong, remain integrity. Should that quality ever go dismissed, then do focus at a TB-od1b Crown Haplotype to remind @BT model-enhancement has genotype advancement.

@ Zougotcha – whilst indeed 4×3 Danehill, (3 strains Danzig) + 5×5 Mr Prospector – the principle potency can be further imprinted & intensified acutely.

*****

Zoustar’s European G1 2yo winner Lezoo (IRE (Zoustar – Red Sez ex- Red Clubs & we note, the dams b/m sire Robellino is from the distaff to a Princequillo daughter (f.f.2-f) as is highlighted **above.

  • @ Lezoo’s 2nd dam, Stately Princess:The stamp of Honeyway, a Honeyway daughter to sire Double Form inclusive Princequillo appears
  • + #BT in Goyama > Double Form

🐴 racehorse genetics that go on to perform.

A New Zealand bred mare, the Centaine daughter became South Africa’s own…her line, 3rd dam Princess Royal (Captain Al, a Roberto tail-male line) dam of subject pedigree Princess Calla (SAF). https://www.pedigreequery.com/princess+calla

Horse of the Year PRINCESS CALLA proves she still has what it takes by winning the City of Cape Town Majorca Stakes (WFA)(Grade 1).#caperacing #destinationcaperacing #WSBcptMET #WSBcptMET2024@eventscapetown @WorldSportsBet @seantarryracing pic.twitter.com/ko7jenyep1

With astute judgement, it paved the way to results and success, her career https://www.sportingpost.co.za/princess-calla-and-the-search-for-greatness/ – consolidates racehorse versatility, constitution and adaptability.

Princess or Queen? 👑

South Africa’s Horse of the Year PRINCESS CALLA wins her fourth G1 in the Majorca Stakes! 🇿🇦 pic.twitter.com/M9zKVRAmvF

— World Horse Racing (@WHR) January 27, 2024

Princess Calla’s US bred sire Flower Alley was winner of the G1 Travers Stakes and joined the South Africa stallion roster 2015 as purchased by Wilgerbosdrift Stud. Sire of many competent performers, his mark as a stallion to current pedigrees are Queen Elizabeth II cup winner, the Japan bred Lucky Lilac (Orfevre). https://www.pedigreequery.com/lucky+lilac2. His son, I’ll Have Another, the 2012 Kentucky Derby winner left a number of listed stakes winners in Japan returning to reside at http://www.oceanbreezeranch.com/illhaveanother California.

By pedigree – Flower Alley’s dam (Princess Olivia) – distinctive for 5×5 Goofed, dam of those wonderful genetics in Lyphard and her G1 winning daughter Nobiliary but for breeding, the unfortunate mare. Goofed is Flower Alley’s 5th dam female line and reines-de-course mare. Princess Olivia also dam of Japan bred, Tosen Ra (Deep Impact, 3x Goofed) & Spielberg.

Forever impressive by the impact of Lyphard genetics upon international breeding, especially its worth to the superior champions of Japan’s breeding. Though usual credit goes to breed-shaper sire Northern Dancer, dam Goofed i) by Court Martial by Fair Trial from a Hurry On dam ii) 5×5 Basse Terre + 5×5 Chouberski that paves a strong genetic hallway to #BT. It is evident this is not about the historical ‘BT’ context but rather a recovery to itself.

We could race draft horses over most any surface, and their bones are strong enough it wouldn’t matter. But, the thoroughbred maintains only the minimum skeleton that is sufficient to carry them around the track. Excess skeleton is added weight and penalized the horse’s speed. So, the light skeleton is a speed advantage, unless it gets too light to carry its owner, and then it fails. This is why we will never eliminate injuries totally. Success is predicated on the fact that our athletes carry the minimum skeleton necessary. They run right on the edge of their physiology.

Dr. Larry Bramlage describes here, when talking about why racehorses will always break down (if we breed for speed):
Dr. Bramlage is an internationally recognized equine orthopedic surgeon

The mare Goofed, her individuals as above are bone medicine…

Princess Calla broodmare sire Captain Al (SAF). An outstanding champion sire and broodmare sire and his Listed Line-bred (https://www.pedigreequery.com/linebreeding/captain+al2) are the par excellence. Captain Al record speaks for itself – a once in a lifetime stallion he passed 2017.

A prolific source of two-year-old talent, Captain Al was South Africa’s Leading Sire of 2YOs on no fewer than eight occasions, with the half-brother to dual G1 winner Shadow Dancing topping that South African premiership in 2008-2009,2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016

https://www.turftalk.co.za/captain-al-a-true-south-african-legend/

The breeding to a carriage of certain genetics is high-end important and its integration pivotal. The morpho in principle – stay in the Bones: a superior profile shall remain, its consistentcy to name a few.

Princess Calla (5S x 6S x 5S x 4D N.D. ) Where Northern Dancer is generally placed as solution to pedigree formulation, his hybrid scope upon other lines remains a subject still topical. By way, Northern Dancer’s focus may be drawn upon 3x Spearmint (Carbine) + 16x St Angela (King Tom/Harkaway).

@Captain Al, the 15x Spearmint factor thru daughters 2x Baby Polly (Pretty Polly family) – Catnip – Entanglement – Plucky Leige (dam of Bull Dog, Sir Gallahad & Admiral Drake – shaping Haplotye L4. The TBL supposition relationship @ St Simon by King Tom/Hastings from St Angela > Hastings sire of Fair Play bears Captain Al’s 8x Fair Play with 10x St Simon incurring family 2 arrangement assigned #Haplotype L4. Can the genetic Value ever be better interpretated > “Success is predicated on the fact that our athletes carry the minimum skeleton necessary. They run right on the edge of their physiology”

@Princess Olivia (dam, Flower Alley) 8x Spearmint. Of daughters – another strain Baby Polly (Vienna) Seaweed (Vaguely Noble), son Chicle sire of Mother Goose + Fair Trial 6S x 8D x 6D + 5x Chouberski + 5x Basse Terre

@ Distorted Humour – 12x Spearmint (principally daughter 9x Plucky Leige – 10x Fair Play

To the international spectrum – NZ genetics forever remain dynamic. It happens this distaff – the New Zealand bred Philomena line goes back @ 4x Harkaway not alone at King Tom, but Harkaway daughter Austrey – grand dam of Australian sire Chester. Another to Harkaway daughter Chaseaway is that to family 1-d distaff Vaguely Noble. Another factor has the Philomena line also takes St Angela, her daughter Angelica sire of Orme.

While Harkaway sits to the past it is obvious that Harkaway was a ‘Notable’ influence, laterally overlooked. And what we do find by science literature confessing (of sort): ‘many other influential stallions and refining breeds are not defined’. (Article). (Harkaway from a Nabocklish mare @ 3dx3d Bagot, 4x4x4x4 Herod.

II) The refinement of the Evolutionary Y Haplotype is not completed yet examination of the Crown Y Haplotype (Figure 3 B Crown demonstrates the signature @BT its future inheritance breeding population is immeasurable. But the point really goes @BT blood, as ‘said’ the lowest contribution percentage (3.3%) to the TB population however ‘when’ by critical mass effected, it is explosive.

Grey Sovereign (Nasrullah), Palestine (Fair Trial), Court Martial, Spearmint/Carbine, My Babu, Star Kingdom, Sir Tristram – come on through New Zealand Gold.

The Pedigree Expert stuff….

Even though an ancestor may be well back in a pedigree pattern, if it is a dominant ancestor, it will maintain its effectiveness for many generations, especially if close relatives reinforce similar biochemistry. (Ken Mc Lean)

(*Equinox / Lyphard 5S x 5s x 4D) Lyphard f.f.17-b @Haplotype L3a1a + Sunday Silence dam’s lineage has 2 strains @f.f.17-b Hillary &Free France @ Haplotype L3a1a

Lyphard by Northern Dancer (f.f.2d Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a) from Reine-de-Course mare Goofed (Court Martial) has 5×5 Chouberski. Chouberski f.f.28 – a Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a.

Footnotes:

Byerley Turk‘s St Simon (Galopin by Delight) male line – 4×3 **The Flying Dutchman (discussion & research Link, here).

It is interesting and further importantly noted that Byerley Turk, Herod’s branch, has affinity with Haplotype mares L2b1a @ female family 3 (there is however one exception).

Remarkably the affinity by Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a is also that of contemporary breed-shaper Northern Dancer, Danehill, Halo, Machiavellian.

By example, the Haplotype’ ‘pattern’ affinity is demonstrated neatly through pedigree: Hurry On, a f.f.2-d by Marcovil by f.f. 3-k) + 8x Pocahontas f.f.3n. 4s x4s Hermit by Newminster f.f. 8, its lineage a Mare by Byerley Turk.

The female family 8 branches (again an ‘8’ exception exists) assigns Haplotype L3a1b. Science indicates L3a1b, a racing phenotype performance critical. L3a1b has 6-a, 6-e, 1-u.

Equinox’s dam Chateau Blanche, f.f. 16-b, assigned Haplotype L3a1b.

(n.b. whilst Haplotype(s) are distinguishing key markers it is not to take a rigid view; they serve workings & feasibility)
