The Pedigree Expert stuff….
Even though an ancestor may be well back in a pedigree pattern, if it is a dominant ancestor, it will maintain its effectiveness for many generations, especially if close relatives reinforce similar biochemistry. (Ken Mc Lean)
(*Equinox / Lyphard 5S x 5s x 4D) Lyphard f.f.17-b @Haplotype L3a1a + Sunday Silence dam’s lineage has 2 strains @f.f.17-b Hillary &Free France @ Haplotype L3a1a
Lyphard by Northern Dancer (f.f.2d Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a) from Reine-de-Course mare Goofed (Court Martial) has 5×5 Chouberski. Chouberski f.f.28 – a Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a.
Bruleur – 5×4 Dollar (**The Flying Dutchman) – 5×5 Hermit
Footnotes:
Byerley Turk‘s St Simon (Galopin by Delight) male line – 4×3 **The Flying Dutchman (discussion & research Link, here).
It is interesting and further importantly noted that Byerley Turk, Herod’s branch, has affinity with Haplotype mares L2b1a @ female family 3 (there is however one exception).
Remarkably the affinity by Haplotype L2b1/L2b1a is also that of contemporary breed-shaper Northern Dancer, Danehill, Halo, Machiavellian.
By example, the Haplotype’ ‘pattern’ affinity is demonstrated neatly through pedigree: Hurry On, a f.f.2-d by Marcovil by f.f. 3-k) + 8x Pocahontas f.f.3n. 4s x4s Hermit by Newminster f.f. 8, its lineage a Mare by Byerley Turk.
The female family 8 branches (again an ‘8’ exception exists) assigns Haplotype L3a1b. Science indicates L3a1b, a racing phenotype performance critical. L3a1b has 6-a, 6-e, 1-u.
Equinox’s dam Chateau Blanche, f.f. 16-b, assigned Haplotype L3a1b.
(n.b. whilst Haplotype(s) are distinguishing key markers it is not to take a rigid view; they serve workings & feasibility)
