St. Germans (horse) – American Classic Pedigrees after his English racing career, St Germans was exported to the United States in 1925 and became one of the most important sires of his era.
Physically, Man O’ War was a glowing chestnut, almost red, standing 16 hands 1,5/8 inches. He measured 71,3/4 inches at the girth and weighted 1100 pounds in training. As a stallion his weight reached 1370 pounds. He was unusually long bodied and powerfully muscled in the gaskins. He sired over 300 offspring who won over 1200 races.
