To Male line @Dubawi, sire & sons continues the breeder’s ubiquitous statement; his type shall dominate for several generations.

The grandson of Dubawi Bayside Boy (IRE) was a G1 winner at 3, to note as sire, blood free of Danehill and Galileo.

Arapaho Gold was offered as a yearling at the 2025 Goffs Ireland Orby Sale, where he realised €42,000 for Newlands House Stud. Now owned by Doug Graham & Carole Dods and trained by Michael Dods, he has already repaid that investment with an unbeaten juvenile campaign capped by the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes.

Greentree Farm’s chief stakeswinners were Capot, Tom Fool, and Stage Door Johnny. Capot (by Menow) won the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes to add to his Champagne Stakes victory as a two year old, but Capot proved to be a sterile sire. As a result, John Hay Whitney purchased Tom Fool (Menow) as a yearling. Tom Fool out of a slightly unsound mare (Bull Dog) who came from a strong winning female line. Tom Fool was voted American champion at three. Of all his sons it was mainly left to Tompion and Buckpasser to carry on the line. Arapaho Gold has 2nd dam sire Gulch – a significant sire, and nowadays not too common (it seems) upon your contemporary profiles. Gulch sources that goldmine of genetics: 4x Plucky Leige through sons Sir Gallahad & Bull Dog, full-brothers by Teddy to his sire-line in Orme.

Tragically Gulch’s dam Jameela, left no daughters. Her 27 wins from 58 starts records exceptional status, tough, Maryland Horse of the Year. Jameela dam of Gulch won the 1988 Breeders’ Cup Sprint-G1 and was named Eclipse-award winning sprinter that year. Gulch went on to become one of the nation’s most respected sires, counting among his 74 stakes winners champion and Kentucky Derby-G1 winner Thunder Gulch.
