2yo chestnut filly – Fairy Godmother (Night of Thunder – Scintialing ex-Siyouni) Pedigree.

The race-phenotype in Fairy Godmother goes dynamic. She, @7×5 Nijinsky re-echoes his quality to flair, verve, and acceleration.

Genotypic blueprints with compressed power

2x Court Martial via Dancing Brave/Lyphard and 6th dam distaff, hail the f.f.1-P + to, Hornbeam b/m sire of Blakeney.

Further to f.f. 1-P has Mount Hagen (FR), 2nd dam sire of Bohemian Bounty (GB), 2nd dam sire to Fairy Godmother’s dam Scintilating.

(n.b. Our last post updating @ Black Caviar highlights the extraordinary and important influences noted to female family 1-P)

Court Martial (above) – a prolific sire leading sire twice and six-time leading sire of two year olds. Essentially a miler he defeated Dante and Royal Charger by a neck and two lengths or the 1945 English 2,000 Guineas.

A beautiful horse of superb quality, truly made, sound and possessed of excellent limbs, but with shelly feet a trait which he has handed on…though having a measure of stamina, speed was Court Martial’s forte, which reflected in his stock. An outstanding and wonderfully consistent stallion, his mares have done comparably well at stud. Most of his stock like soft ground. John Hislop

Court Martial 2nd dam sire of Busted (GB) sire of 6×6 Bustino from the Marchetta family. Bustino sired the Reine-de-Course mare Height of Fashion (FR) dam of Nashwan (US), dam of Unfuwain (US) & Nayef (US).

  • Further @ Fairy Godmother: Marchetta family (f.f.1-W) – 9xTurn-To, Alycidon, Acropolis, Ambiorix collectively L2b1a.

Fairy Godmothers distaff Queen of Light f.f.1-S.

Fairy Godmother’s 7th dam distaff Queen of Light, and 5th dam to sire Desert Prince (IRE), 2nd dam sire to Night of Thunder.

Familial pattern bred: Court Martial – Picture Play (dam Queen of Light) produced Promulgation, a successful winning two year old exported to America. Promulgation is the b/m sire of Noble Decree (USA) a champion 2 year old in England. Queen of Light daughter Chystal Palace foaled Royal Palace (Ballymoss) 11 starts – 9 wins rated best English 2 year old and winning two of the Triple Crown. Royal Palace was unbeaten as a four year old of 4 starts, G1 races.

The family distaff has produced Hello (Lycius US) champion 2yo in Italy. A 5×5 Court Martial pedigree

The champion French sire : 8x9x7D Tantieme – sire of 🐴Match, 1/2 brother of Relko – (3rd dam sire Desert Prince) and Reliance, has primacy of the genes influence viz. dams influence /GB *Relic – Tourbillon – Papyrus, 👉👉👉 /GB x Byerley Turk x St Angela/Harkaway

  • 3x *Relic distaff (f.f.8f) same to Nijinsky’s ancestress Padua, It is considered the family 8 Haplotype (L3a1b) sources to a Byerley Turk mare – however a 1994 unnamed US mare also sources N1 haplotype. Given Byerley Turk blood is significant in Lyphard’s dam Goofed (5×5 Chouberski), Blakeney, 6x Djebel the ancestral classification shall remain unclear, however an emphasis inclines Byerley Turk ‘relatives’ descendancy – reinforcement undisputed pre-potency. Its (BT) decline is goes toppled by lack of reinforcement somewhere.

Stallions like *Relic, the brilliantly fast, United States bred sprinter who acted as a phenomenal upgrading outcross of the many French, English and Irish bred mares he covered when exported to stand in Europe, are as scarce as hen’s teeth. Relic (by Man o’ War’s intensely inbred son War Relic out of Bridal Colours by Commando’s grandson Black Toney) conquered enormous odds stacked against him. He qualifies as an ancestor who should be consistently repeated in modern pedigrees…. Ross du Bourg

Blood affinities spring up across the world that achieve results far in excess of the norm and ring true again and again Ross du Bourg – Primacy of the Genes chapter, The Australian and New Zealand Thoroughbred
