Arapaho Gold was offered as a yearling at the 2025 Goffs Ireland Orby Sale, where he realised €42,000 for Newlands House Stud. Now owned by Doug Graham & Carole Dods and trained by Michael Dods, he has already repaid that investment with an unbeaten juvenile campaign capped by the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes.

Arapaho Gold has 2nd dam sire Gulch – a significant sire, and nowadays not too common (it seems) upon your contemporary profiles. Gulch sources that goldmine of genetics: 4x Plucky Leige through sons Sir Gallahad & Bull Dog, full-brothers by Teddy to his sire-line in Orme.
Tragically Gulch’s dam Jameela, left no daughters. Her 27 wins from 58 starts records exceptional status, tough, Maryland Horse of the Year. Jameela dam of Gulch won the 1988 Breeders’ Cup Sprint-G1 and was named Eclipse-award winning sprinter that year. Gulch went on to become one of the nation’s most respected sires, counting among his 74 stakes winners champion and Kentucky Derby-G1 winner Thunder Gulch.
